Shadow of Life

MetalHealth Such a good mix of Hardcore breakdowns coupled with insane fast paced death metal. This album encompasses everything that's good about extreme metal. I loved every track but the brutality of Ethereal Emptiness still sticks. This is defiantly a must own. Favorite track: Ethereal Emptiness.

JDMP Really impressive here. I like Mike McKenzie. His solo doom project, Stomach Earth, and The Red Chord (who will never be forgotten) have always left me itching for more music from him. So, I was delighted to see this supergroup form. And, the output is just as good as I had hoped. Favorite track: Return to Zero.

shitarsis Absolutely love the gritty quality of the vocalist. Sounds like a low quality radio transmission and someone is very upset. Blood Blossom is my favorite track on the album. I will sometimes be doing day to day activities and in my mind go “DO NOT RESUSCITATE”. What a breakdown!

A lot of modern death metal has a frenetic and restless feel to it, which I like, but if not done right, it comes off wrong. Not the case with this band. Worth every penny I spent on the album. Favorite track: Blood Blossom.

Formless beauty Love disembodied Retreating from the battered shell Endless echoes Damaged desire Abused carry angelic afterglows Ethereal emptiness Harden to survive, evolve to avenge Harken to a time when the young stood a chance We must embrace the coming age of ethereal emptiness We must embrace the coming age of ethereal emptiness We must embrace the coming age of ethereal...emptiness

Repulsed by romantics that reject their passion Magnetic depression Rips apart all love Past tense indifference Is future repentance We take this for granted In the black and blue Pollute paradise Repulsed by romantics that reject their passion Magnetic depression Rips apart all love Past tense indifference Is future repentance We take this for granted In the black and blue Pollute paradise Pollute paradise Pollute paradise Pollute paradise

Let this inferno consume all of me Fan the flames with the waves of goodbye Let me writhe in the agony That there was a way out if only I tried Let the winds then gently carry me As ash and embers so far and wide Let me drift as dis embodied smoke Into lungs of those who ran from life It starts as the spark of loss My siren's song cries out to me Love incinerates so beautifully My siren's song cries out to me The obliteration will set you free My siren's song cries out to me Love incinerates so beautifully My siren's song cries out to me The obliteration will set you free It starts as the spark of loss It starts as the spark of loss My siren's song cries out to me Love incinerates so beautifully My siren's song cries out to me The obliteration will set you free

The gift of closure is a myth And distance is the cruelest curse Sifting through excuses for reasons Makes surviving so much worse Do not resuscitate I was not your choice to make Do not resuscitate I yearn for the warm embrace Do not resuscitate Battered by conditional love Do not resuscitate Let the blood freely flow from us Petals thirst for stinging rain I'm no longer your mistake Blossoms blooming from the pain I'm no longer your mistake The gift of closure is a myth And distance is the cruelest curse Sifting through excuses for reasons Makes surviving so much worse Do not resuscitate I was not your choice to make Do not resuscitate I yearn for the warm embrace Do not resuscitate Battered by conditional love Do not resuscitate Let the blood freely flow from us Petals thirst for stinging rain I'm no longer your mistake Blossoms blooming from the pain I'm no longer your mistake The gift of closure is a myth Distance is the cruelest curse Sifting through excuse for reasons Makes surviving so much worse Do not resuscitate

We feign such fearlessness Covet symbols to worship To rid the hopelessness That feeds on each of us Under eyelids we keep Nightmares from the serene Doubt that hungers for me Is gnawing at you too As daylight starts to wane There will be no safe place In which to hide our beings The wolves have been set free There is no inner peace It was never meant to be We cannot outrun them all They grow stronger within us We cannot outrun them all They grow stronger within us We won't find peace We won't find peace We feign such fearlessness Covet symbols to worship To rid the hopelessness That feeds on each of us Under eyelids we keep Nightmares from the serene Doubt that hungers for me Is gnawing at you too As daylight starts to wane There will be no safe place In which to hide our beings The wolves have been set free There is no inner peace It was never meant to be We cannot outrun them all They grow stronger within us We cannot outrun them all They grow stronger within us We won't find peace It was never meant to be Shadows will one day come for you Shadows will one day come for you Shadows will one day come for you Shadows will one day come for you
